You forgot me ;-(
I'm asking myself the same question. Thought it might be a technical board malfunction.

Crow,
Don't worry, he didn't forget you I dont think. It's just you post often, so there was no need to mention you in that one! Or were "you" being "ironic"?

"Chris"

Naaa... I love Greg. Didn't think for a moment he's ignoring me or anything.

Actually, I feel like I'm posting TOO much on the board. Besides you and Greg I feel like I'm the most active one here. Probably because I love this movie so much (and Cronenberg's work in general) and love to talk about it.

Hehe. Saw the movie again 2 days ago, after a LONG time since the last viewing. This time with more insights (including the new knowledge of the missing scenes) thanks to all of you, guys.

Oh, Mighty Chris, your powers are irresistible!
Here are 2 major subjects I would like to write extensively about, when I find the time and concentration:
1. "The Fly" vs. "Dead Ringers" - similarities and evolution of a theme.
2. The stages Seth is going through. Here are the "normal" 5 stages of accepting an illness and mourning:
a. Denial and Isolation
b. Anger
c. Fear/Bargaining
d. Grief/Depression
e. Acceptance
A little bit of explanation I found using a quick search, at http://fibrofighter.tripod.com/17stages.htm and http://www.greaterswiss.com/mourning.htm

A Fly/Dead Ringers comparison would be fabulous. Dead Ringers and The Fly are probably Cronenberg's two greatest films. They do share a lot in common, although Dead ringers is much more psychologically disturbing. Great flick!!!! The Criterion Collection DVD for Dead Ringers has great Cronenberg commentary.

DUDE! I bookmarked the site but couldn't get access because the frames were missing (there were no links to anything aside from the 'fortunecity' ring). I had to do a search on GOOGLE to find an alternate path... I would never abandon you guys!
