I suspect that it's something to do with the surprise of it, but I also suspect that there's an angle to our South American friend's perception that we can't take in. Having grown up knowing about airplanes all my life, I can't begin to imagine what would go through the head of somebody seeing one for the very first time...let alone the discharge of passengers, although there is something vaguely lurking in my mind about that image...I'm trying to find some experiance of the ABSOLUTELY foreign with which to compare it, and I can't find one.I can envision running into something so alien that I can't make sense of it, but I think that likelihood gets slimmer and slimmer all the time.
