Yes, all ceremonies are created by people.

If they are given by spirit, which I believe they are, they still can't be named for concepts that do not exist in the language for which they are given. That, btw, is one reason I have doubts about trying to move traditional ceremonies between languages.

You gotta think it before you can say it, and you got to say it before you can say a metaphor represents it.

I agree with you that most of the Nuager Clan mean about as much harm as my Cocker Spaniel. He, too, pees on the floor.
