we gotta demand more - even from state schools - and we gotta help our students at schools where they are not getting it.

Exactly the kind of support our kids should expect - and if the school does not offer it, we need to step up.

No argument there - Dartmouth is outstanding for Indian Students. They work hard at retention there. I recomend their program as a model.
