Craziness is the right word, and add some stupidity and naivety to it to complete the chaos. It seems this mixture knows absolutely no limits:

The same day Anna was attacked, the staff of a mental hospital for people who committed crimes of violence informed their patients (!) about the attack... After that, one of the patients, a young man, says he's off for the cafeteria. Nobody botheres to keep an eye on him because the phychologists estimate he's alright and calm. But the guy leaves the hospital and after just half an hour he's been to the playground of a kindergarten, grabbed a 5-year-old girl and cut her with a knife. The child died on the way to the hospital :o(

It's a mystery to me why the staff of that mental hospital seemed to think they had to inform the inmates about the stabbing of Anna Lindh. Mentally ill people don't need to know such things. It's obvious the guy got inspired to go out and do the same thing. Some days I don't understand the world.

>Of course it struck me when I first heard the news,
>but they said at first her injuries were not
>life-threatening, [...]

They lied. Don't know why. Maybe it was whishful thinking it wouldn't be as bad as it indeed was. No fact, just my own thought.

Thank you.

To say something positive for a change (sorry, I feel guilty for telling sad stuff): I do peek in at Indianz at times to keep track of topics and moods. The other day I saw the joke you posted last Friday - high level communique. I thought it was so good I printed it out. Then I put it on my husband's desk. When he came home, I'd forgotten about it for the moment, but was reminded again when I heard him laugh out loud :o)
