A suspect was caught on tape. By now the pictures have even been published in newspapers. The police wants to get in touch with the person in question, but as he hasn't gotten in touch voluntarily by now, they strongly suspect him and seek day and night.

Right. I must say the swedish newspapers I read try very hard to be correct and stress that the person in the published pictures might as well not be guilty, but perhaps "just" an important witness - he was seen at the place of murder. As the police found a baseball cap along the escape route of the murderer, on which specialists found DNA, it would be relative easy for the person to prove he's not guilty by getting in touch with the police to give them a sample of his hair. Now that this is not the case, he's getting more and more suspect. Just hope this will end soon and find a fair solution. It makes no sense in speculating until you've gotten all the facts.
