I assumed you might say something like that, 'cause to me this idea (colorful leaves of Indian summer vs. facepaintings) is a positive stereotype some people in Europe have about Northamerica's indigenous peoples.

I see. Different peoples in Europe have stereotypes about eachother. Do you think this excists among Indian peoples too? At least I think I've learned to notice this when listening to people at Indianz.com (and others, those far up north I spent a little time with face to face last summer); my impression is Dineh persons speak up loudly and are very straight, then sometimes there's a gentle but firm whisper from somewhere in Canada. Ofcourse that's generalizing, but anyway. Sometimes I do think the climate has some influence on peoples mentality. What do you think?

Me neither. First I'd like to experience some beautiful autumn days. Yesterday I felt a severity in the air for the first time this year, so it is getting colder even during the day. At this very moment when writing this, it's a quarter to nine Ylva time and the temperature is 10°C/50°F. The sky is clear and blue, so I bet we have that severity in the air today also. It's something about it, a certain type of freshness.
