I was born Debra Jean Walters. I was supposed to be Jessica Jean, (they were gonna call me J.J.) but dad had an old girlfriend with long dark hair and dark eyes named Debbie that I apparently reminded him of. Mom was knocked out at the time of the naming. Mom and Dad were divorced shortly afterward, and I moved in with my Grandparents. I was raised by them from almost two til 17. Grandpa was Choctaw/Cherokee and a little Scot. Grandma is white.

I have NEVER seen myself as a "Debbie", so I always refered to my self as DJ and when I was 20-something, had it legally changed to DJ.

I have been married twice, first hubby gave me 2 gorgeous sons, Robert, now 17 and Tony, 15. We divorced after 10 years. It was all my fault, I just couldnt get along with his girlfriends!! ha ha!

I married Rick 9 years ago (this April) after knowing him for 3 weeks! I picked him up off a street corner where he was eating HO-HO's and Milk and I drove by after getting into an arguement with my present useless boyfriend. I wolf howled at him, he wolf howled back. I pulled over, we talked all night, he asked me out, 3 weeks later we married on a bet!! He took me and my kids roller skating on our wedding night. He has never missed a concert, parent/teacher conferance or field trip. He is as good a step dad as Joseph was!! Rick and I had a daughter, Jessie Love McClure, that did not make it.

I do mosaic work, and watch my nephews and niece during the week. I also pow wow sing and dance!! I do a little beadwork, working on my new regalia right now and am very active in my Tiospaye. I went to Western Ky Univ. but didn't graduate. But did go on to become an LPN. Did that for 8 years until my Panic Disorder took over. I now mostly control it rather than it controlling me... oh, and I have 5 tatoo's and had my nose pierced, but it closed up on me... would like to re-pierce it though!!
