Hello everyone, my first time posting here..been by reading, thought I should introduce myself. My name is Mahpiya Obe Mani Win (Walks with the Clouds Woman), I live on a small reservation in South Dakota. I have three wonderful kids, my oldest son is a Marine in stationed in North Carolina (went to the state U here but kept changing his major and decided he better take a break from school and decide what he was really interested in - I think he's found his niche tho), my daughter is attending Dartmouth (Mechanical Engineering) in Hanover, New Hampshire, and my youngest son is in his 3rd year at the University of Iowa (wants to be a lawyer, he was awarded the Tom Brokaw scholarship last year). So yeah, my kids are my pride and joy, raised 'em by myself, with help from my mother and brothers and sisters (14 of us - plus adopted brothers). I come from a huge family, so there's lots of drama going on...every week it seems.

I work at a substance abuse treatment center. I also work/volunteer part-time under one of the political sub-divisions of the tribe...we just had our elections, so its been a busy week.

Oh yeah, I powwow as much as I can during powwow season. Earth, I've been to the Wakpala powwow a couple of times, a really nice traditional powwow, that takes feeding the people very seriously. Glad to meet everyone.
