i've seen a lot of strange things in my lifebut never a bird of prey in a position like that. a falcon spends most of it's time on the wing. this bird was only 15ft away and facing me. he just stood there and didn't move for at least 3 mins.
and my location is all wrong for him also.
the city is about 15 mi. across and my house in just about in the center. coupled with seeing the coyote 1 hr. later, at high noon, in the middle of all those houses, really made for a strange day.
