Subject: Custer

i know this is a tired old subject but, i watched a newer version of it last night on the History channel; and from the indian view, no less!
Edward Lewis, i believe his name was, interview 3 surviving ndn vets from the battle, in 1905
seems that Custer DIDN'T disappear from view. the ndn warriors told of him sitting on a hill, watching Reno's battle, for fully 1/2 hr., before charging.
Lewis wrote a book and sent a copy to the prez Roosevelt. the prez told him at this late date, it would do nobody any good to change the record, to let the 'sleeping heroes' rest in peace.
p.s. Custer had 2 brothers, a b/i/l, and a nephew with him. i had thought only 1 bro was there.
was a good program. a more enlightened telling.

tomorrow is an anniversery... it's not going to be a nice day. may not be on - 2:30am/1/26/95
