Subject: godless tramp?

Chaplin is listed as one of the "Famous Dead Non-Theists" at http://www.visi.com/~markg/atheists.html. His supporting quote is as follows:
Sir Charles Spencer "Charlie" Chaplin, British born actor, director, and producer (1889-1977).
"By simple common sense I don't believe in God, in none."
quoted in Manual of a Perfect Atheist

However, in the articles section of "Charlie Chaplin UK" he is quoted as saying "I neither believe nor disbelieve in anything.", which suggests that is an agnostic.

Atheist? Agnostic? Other? Can anyone clarify? Any information would be appreciated.

Bryson
