Subject: M3 E36 3.2 (eurospec) engine vibration

Hi,

I have some unusual problem in my M3, at least thats what the mechanic said. Since a couple weeks i hear a strong vibration at 2500rpm (ONLY). To describe it better i'd say this noise is like if i had some loud exhaust installation for a coule seconds (but the noise comes from the engine compartiment). It occurs during acceleration or deceleration. The slower is the decel. the louder and longer is the noise and the range of problem is strictly locaded around 2500rpm (to be precise i'd say from 2400 to 2600). The car runs fine, no loss of power and no overrev in its history. An inspection was done lately, and basically i notice this after i changed oil (Castrol 10W60) nevertheless it might only be an impression its due to this inspection.

If anyone has an idea i'd be greatful.
Thomas K.
