Subject: BMW still hasn't determined cause of failures

I spoke to the reps at the L.A. Auto Show, one of whom told me that they had yet to determine the cause or causes of the filaures and were still pullnig apart blown engines as of January 2, 2003 for sure.

Unbelievable that they still haven't figured it out.

BTW, they confirmed that all cars, fromMY2001 through MY2003 will receive the limited warranty extension.
