Subject: Update to #65

The "skipping" or "missing" must be something else. I drove a friends new M3 after break-in and it did the same thing. Apparently, when the M3 is at high RPM and not at full throttle, there is some inherent jerkiness the acceleration. I feel this changing torque to the rear wheels might be a problem in a turn near max lateral acceleration.

The remanufactured engine is actually doing well, as previous posted I ran 4.7 0-60 mph and 13.1/111.6mph in the quarter (Gainesville Raceway/Gator National Drag Strip)even though I was taking it easy on the starts to keep from spinning my new rear tires. The good times may have been accounted for by ideal temperature (55 degrees F) and the Bridgestone PS-03 tires (only 33psi in rear).

I guess I am happy with my engine, however, I do feel that BMWNA should have replaced the fuel injectors, since debrie engine debrie obviously passed by them on the way to the air filter box. I also feel that the radiator and hoses should have been replaced since the cooling system was penetrated in the block.

I now have 13,375 miles on my remanufatured engine about 1000 miles (2 weeks) from the point where my original engine blew up. Jason could you please correct my listing: My mileage on the original engine was 14,375 miles when it blew.

I am a little tenitive because the engine does have one thing unusual in common with the old engine. Neither engine has used a drop of oil!
