Subject: clutch problems also
In reply to: iimaduck 's message, "same thing happened to me but at 16,000" on 19:42:23 04/04/03 Fri

I have a jetta with about 90,000 miles on it and the clutch is scting weird. i also have had plenty of experiance with a stick and although i drive it hard somtimes it seems like the clutch occasionally has problems. what makes it weird is that if i drive it very carefully for about a week the problem goes away. Iv asked around and everyone iv talked to says that a slipping clutch doesnt go away, it just gets worse. this has been going on for the last four or five months and it just comes and goes. occasionally it gets so bad that the warning light comes on for about a week and then goes away with the problem. Is this the clutch or somthing else? i have felt a slipping clutch and it is the exact same feeling.
