Subject: Another M3 E46 Failure

When I bought my E 46 M3, I notice just 2 days after I received it from the BMW dealer, that my motor was throwing oil. The top plastic cover of the motor had some oil, just next to the oil cap. I thought that it came out cause the oil cap, wasn't properly closed, that's what my BMW dealer thought too. By the way at that time I checked the oil level, and it was over filled from factory, for almost half a gallon.
When I did the firts oil change, as the service booklet indicated, I notice again that after 2 o 3 days of use, my motor plastic cover started to get dirty again. But after more days I started to see oil, not only in the plastic cover, but almost every where.
My mexican BMW dealer couldn't give me an explanation about this. I started to feel very worried, but at least during that period the car hasn't a noticeable oil consumption, and even the manual says that oil consumption may be normal, and depending on the way of driving from each one, that consumption may be less or more. In my case I noticed that almost every 1500 miles it has an oil consumption of almost half a gallon
Now my car has around 7,500 miles and is still in theory OK, but I believe that very soon I will have the problem that many other M3 owners already had.
I hope BMW Mexico, will respond in a rigth way if that happens, cause they had being inform from me about all this things since the begining.
I don't know what do you think, I had 4 BMW cars before, but maybe BMW is not as good as it used to be. I hope my car does not become the "ultimate broken machine".
As a matter of fact the new 7 series, had a lot of electrical problems worldwide, originated from the fiber optics that this model uses instead o cable wires.
My first E 46 I had,(3 years ago) before my E46 M3, had 2 motor suport broken, after 3 months of use, without any reason, my BMW dealer told me that it was a problem found in almost every 1999 E 46, cause the metal used for the motor suports, had a failure from factory.
What's next, from BMW ?
