Who is the better player against Bangladesh is somewhat irrelevant, as you said we are planning for the Ashes! I'm not arguing against Pietersen but Bell is the man in better form and I reckon he'll play the Aussie's attack better. Pietersen was exceptional against a decent-ish SA attack, but that is worlds apart from the Aussie front line bowlers. If England want to play Pietersen they should look at Thorpe before Bell. (Anyway, remember the last 'wonderbat' import who was due to terrorise the Aussies! Another Hicky doesn't bear thinking about)
