Subject: more like the bronx every day

There was a time when after a hard days graft in the midst of a fuel crisis you could go to your local garage, fill up, and head off home without incident.

That was before a posse of gangstas moved in to nearby Kinnoull Street.

Now as you stand and fill up with only an unleaded pump for self defence, one of said gangstas approaches you in his bobble hat (with bobble cut off) and with a bulging bag surely concealing either 16 packets of crisps and a Turkish Delight (tea in gangsta household) or a dangerous weapon.

Grinning inanely in a Forest Gump sort of way to put you off guard, the terror rises in one self as you realise this hoodlum is approaching.

Then when he has the audacity to speak (of course pure disrespectful cheek) you know there is no escape, you are going to have to engage this reprehensible individual and hope you escape with your life.
