Very difficult one : not Trescothick for sure.

I would consider Irani (Ok his form has not been good recently but a least he has some captaincy experience) and would also seriously think about Flintoff - high risk appointment i admit but could work superbly for player and country. Collingwood is another runner I agree along with Vaughan but I think neither are quite right at the moment.
