Try blowing out Mother board(Canned air), Check video Board, May need to be reseated or replaced. I have a compaq Laptop that is doing the same, & it is also driving me Bananas. The only thing left for me to check is the mother board & Video Board, Which I am going to try to fix today. Hope this helps to try to track down your problem.
