I have the same computer and the same problem, the computer overheats when running certain programs. Games on msn messenger actually make the laptop shut down, and soulseek often seizes up using 80% of the cpu. I have taken the back off and removed the dust from the fan which helped a bit, but it still overheats if one process is running for a while. This is strange as the laptop was fine for several months when I got it.

The only conclusion I have come to is that Advent make sh1t laptops.
