Subject: Toshiba Satellite 1005-157 Dim Display

My screen is very dark on my Toshiba laptop. I think it may be my backlight inverter? I can't find ANY place to purchse this part. Any suggestions? Also, is this something I can fix on my own? My computer is almost 4 years old. I'd hate to pour extra dollars into it.
