Subject: Toshiba Satellite 4010CDT boot problem

Computer: Toshiba Satellite 4010CDT
OS: Win 98 SE RAM:32 Mb
The computer never gave any problem before since purchase (Dec 1998).
THE PROBLEM: The computer hangs after some time (This time varries between 20 mins to 4 hours). The reset does not work. And then does not boot at all with a blank screen and a light in the CD-drive. Only after leaving the computer in power-off condition for a considerable time period (12 to 36 hours) it boots normally again. However, if the computer was shut down normally before hang up, it starts normally.
TEST PERFORMED: CMOS battery OK, Diskette drive and CD-ROM drive OK.
SOLUTION: ????
