Subject: Acer Travelmate 512- Upgrading, repair ports

HI. I am looking for someone who can point me in the right direction with respect to upgrading my laptop. I have a 366mhz celeron processor in my machine, and it works well.. although a 500 would play dvd better... what are my options? can i just find a faster cpu? is it all modular like a pc inside?
In addition, I have lost functionality in the USB ports.. and the ps2 mouse port.. this makes an external mouse all but impossible. what could have caused this?
If you can help, or know of someone who can, please email me

thanks a bunch.
Paul.
