re: Gary Battaglia...maybe he is the dad? I know the parents are divorced and I've heard some nasty rumors (on these sites, of course) about Bates, Anthony and daddy. When he (Bates) played in ECHL during lockout, he was really nice, humble, not "Mr. Big Stuff" at all. Very friendly and fun to talk to. He brought himself down to the ECHL level, i.e. easy fan aceess, team promotional functions, ect.
Met his mom as well, Knew lil bro Anthony from him playing on our ECHL team.
But I have heard some rumors...on this site. I never saw him get busy with anyone, altho I am sure theyre was a lot of hot tub hanky panky :)
