If you mean actual hold in your hands paperback type stuff *grin* you could try an author called Claire McNab. Her Inspector Carol Ashton crime novels are excelent and set around Sydney mostly. Try Desert of the Heart by Jane Rule Ive read my copy to death, it was the first alt novel i bought.
