My brother saw the movie. He says it's one of adam Sandler's funniest and best.

another movie which featured the Carpenters in a humorous - but loving way was "Tommy Boy" starring David Spade and Chris Farley. Spade and Farley are driving on the highway, they are station surfing on the car radio. They come across "Superstar" by the Carpenters, they both look at each other and change the station. The scene cuts and comes back to them driving along listening to "Superstar" and singing along word for word with tears in their eyes.
