In reply to: Federico Cruz 's message, "Carpenters and their influences" on 19:26:16 06/06/03 Fri

In the From The Top album, Richard declares that Caravan was recorded in the living room of his house in 1965 (a home recording) .
Then, he must have recorded I Want To Hold Your Hand.
Every Little Thing is one of eleven songs that were cut in 1966 during their contract with RCA. The others songs are: The Girl from Ipanema, Strangers In The Night, Iced Tea, Flat Baroque ( can somebody help me with the others? ).
About the fire in Joe Osborn garage, yes, the ORIGINAL MASTER TAPES were destroyed, but no the copies of acetate reference discs (vinyl) that were put in other places. I hope this happen with Eleanor Rigby as happened with Nowhere Man and California Dreamin'.
