HD - Well I won't make any specific comments as to your piece of creative writing as it would really take too much time.

Hawk, to address your points - creativity is something that comes naturally to many people, it is something that is almost impossible to "teach." Writing on the other hand can be taught and one can develop skill in writing by training and lots of practice. I don't think HD has spent the time trying to improve his writing. Rather he just pushes his creativity out of whatever venue he can find. My point in saying that he would be flunked by showing his current work to a teach was that it shows the lack of discipline necessary for good writing. HD's response to Moby's comments is filled with misspellings ("develope" no "e" at end) and incorrect usage of words ("effected" should be "affected"). In this day and age of spelling and grammar checkers, there is little reason for these types of mistakes.

Moby - Yes HD's comments here and on other boards frequently come across as hostile and as personal attacks. I generally refrain from responding to his posts as he kinda (not generally accepted slang) scares me. Maybe that is his intent and if so, mission accomplished.

Posydon - I agree wholeheartedly. HD should post this on a creative writting board where it really applies and he could get the critique he claims he desires. My fish report - Went to catalina on my boat looking for the elusive Yellowtail - no luck. Plain and simple.

P.S. I heard the Legacy from Redondo was going down to Long Beach. Is this "forever" or a seasonal thing? Why the move??
