Dear Fello Fishing FINatic:
Are the holidays getting you down? Do people on the freeway frustrate you? Have you found "goodwill towards men" lacking in the Malls? Me too.

I am attempting to gather together the ideal group for an ultra limited load, 2 day excursion to Colonet. I have never found better bottom fishing anywhere. Our average fish was 5lbs & 2 day limits were gotten in nine hours. It's got deep and shallow spots with the average drop being 280'-400' with lots of cows and lings. You would want to bring a jig stick for iron, SWRF & DWRF outfit.

We would leave San Diego Thursday evening, Jan 27th & fish the 28th & 29th. The cost will right about $400. plus Mexican permits. The fastest boat is the BMS which some don't like but the boat is pretty nice and ideal for a short trip like this one. This includes deluxe cuisine like steak & egg breakfasts and the crew is great. The boat is 95' long and with 15-18 anglers...is plenty of boat. Remember, I am a nit picker. If I say the boat's okay...you can bet you'll be comfortable. With a load like this, we can all have our own stateroom! Cool huh!!

If we limit out early, we can go exploratory hunting for tuna or head inshore for bass and the like. I am hand picking the group so there won't be any jerks (well...except myself) cuz that's what makes the best trips...er, THE BEST!

I am looking forward to this trip. We'll call it the BUGEYE CHARTER (no...not BIGEYE) in honor of the hunted prey.
