Now seriously folks, I too used to dread the 'bite" stopping because it meant rock cod time for the passengers.
My buddies and I lived in fear that "our" jackpot wouldbe "taken" by a guy with a train engineers cap and a big red.

I, we, used to split out jackpots with the crew, I personally felt this a little high. my compadres were, apparantly more generous than I. or perhaps not as poor. (at the time)
If we were dead heads we gave the whole thing to the crew.
It did take away the competetive drive a bit..

These days I realize it's the total experience, not just catching fish. I can have a great day with no fish.
