Subject: LAVA LAMP TEAM SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE

The Lava Lamp Team should be held accountable for squelching tourism by contriving, conjuring and clamoring for the vast media publicity that has ended up making the City of Soap Lake look beyond foolish. The Lava Lamp Team can not deny or erase from the minds of people mass amount of critical, detrimental and mocking remarks that came forth as a result of the heated endeavors to get the word out about building what can be rightly classed as a leftover drug culture symbol and that when they do... people will come. False. The symbol was destined to be the downfall. The cost is also a paramount issue in today's economy. Gov. Locke as spoken out about how tight state money is right now. The world-wide feedback that has followed this course of events behind this lava lamp issue is a pathetic result of a flash in the pan, a sudden idea that just two fellows came up with. Two trees never have made a forest. The world feedback speaks little for the brain-child that they wish to erect. This kind of bad news is not good news for a very small desert city that has high hopes of trying to survive on tourism. The drug culture symbol should be dropped at once in the best interest of the general populace who are not at all into the psychedelic scene or so oriented. Our City would never have supported this type of idea. It is reasonable to think that the Soap Lake Council could get buffaloed into this jig-saw by a couple of soft-shoe artists. Better for the City Council to recant as fast as they santioned rather than repent in leisure.

Your right. However, the lava lamp is the downfall but not the only downfall. The other biggie is an even bigger downfall. $25 MILLION DOLLARS is nothing to sneeze at. $25 MILLION for something that stands in the center of town and gurgles. If those boys are wanting to relive their youth, why don't they build a giant bubble pipe. With all the hot air being passed around the town over this lavaworks, I'd say they could run it day and night for free.
