Subject: PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING. LAVA LAMP GIVES OFF WRONG IMPRESSION.

A guy from New Zealand posted here following the Lava Press Release on CNN. He said that he could see the Soap Lake bumper stickers stating, THE BURG WITH THE HERB. He must think everyone smokes pot here. He calls the lava lamp a beacon that will summon all hippie-dom and hopes the locals will embrace the freedom loving stoners. Goes to show that the lava lamp icon does attract those with a desire to indulge in an altered or tilted view of reality. Remember the old saying, cats smell their own. That is proof enough that the giant lava lamp is not a good icon for Soap Lake. Proof is in the pudding. The many many many messages posted on the world web related to dope. Those dope comments rolled in after the lava lamp idea was aired on January 14th, that spokes for itself.

Not only does the lava lamp attract dopers, it attracts a flood of bugs. This big of a lamp will give off a tremendous amount of radiating heat. This is a TERRIBLE HAZARD. Hope they got plenty of risk insurance. The artist's rendition of Blake's lava design shows a couple of people basking high on the platform that surrounds the 60 ft tower which is encased by a protective railing. How about protecting from THIRD DEGREE BURNS? THIS LAVA LAMP IS A DOPIE IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess if your high enough you don't feel any pain! Don't think clearly either.

Blake wants all the shops to exhibit his lava lamp poster. Too funny! The two figures (people) are posed right on the circular stand next to the hot glass of the lamp. Whoever dreamt that up must have been breathing too much ozone for lack of oxygen. When can people stop laughing?
