Subject: Helm shaft

At the risk of seeming naughty, how long is the helm shaft on anyone's M32?

The sales brochure shows a much longer shaft than we have on Bridget.

Also, has anyone noticed little discrepancies in the brochure?
E.g., In the galley shot, there is no porthole; in the cockpit shot, there is. Magic of some sort????

I am trying to picture a helm shaft and can't come up with anything on my Mariner - are you talking about the tube that comes up through the bottom in which the rudder post sits?

The bronze shaft attached to the wheel on one end and the worm gear on the other.

Thanks, Paul. Looks like ours.

Maybe I'm nuts, but in the sales brochure, it seems longer, so I just wondered if there were variations.
