Thanks guys for all the information.... I'm trying to avoid title fraud as can happen with old boats. I've seen it happen where one boat is junked and the title used on another boat where the title has been lost.It happened to my brother once and he had a hell of a time to get it straightened out. Just like on cars there is a long number with letters that is a Vessel Identification number. This number should be on your registration and title, check your titles and registration. I guess it could be referred almost to like a serial number as well.
