Subject: TM36C Staysail Sheeting and Boom (?)

Greetings, fellow Mariners. Mariann and I have owned Ho-Beaux, a Tayana Mariner 36 cutter, since 2002. We are working on our sails and running rigging in preparation for an offshore trip.

In particular, we're trying to get an understanding of our staysail sheeting arrangement. From what I've gathered, our boat at one time had a staysail boom, which was not with the boat when we bought it. With or without a boom, the sheeting arrangement seems awkward; we (and our sailmaker) could not figure out where the sheets should lead, without installing new tracks and other hardware.

I'm curious how others with cutter-rigged Mariners lead the staysail sheets... and do you use a boom? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks,
