It's amazing to think how the girl would feel when she heard her mother's voice, and all that . . . *sniff.* Wow. Sunshine, huh? I'll have to look for it.

My riding teacher told me something annoying, but funny: we've been having a ton of snow here, and then she told my that next Saturday (12/21) is supposed to get up into the 50's!! So we'll have had all this snow, and then MUD for Christmas. Lol. Anyway, cya later.
Love,
Chris

That really sucks about the weather for Christmas. I'm not sure how things will be here. Man, I haven't done any Christmas shopping. I have to buy for like, at least two more people, and that's not including my family. Grrrrr....Call me a grinch but I hate buying Christmas presents. I never know what to get people. Frank I got an Ozzy book, Ashley I got bath & body works stuff, Liz I made her a mix tape (something that has to be smuggled - she's not allowed to listen to anything that's not Christian or Disney! lol)but I still need to get Hannah something and I'm not sure if I should get Brian anything or not, so I'm just gonna get him something small but I have NO clue what...grrr. Did I tell you that I'm going out with Brian now? Yea...I asked him out Friday. You're the first person I'm telling this to (haven't even told Liz) but I don't know...I'm having second thoughts about us going out. I mean, I'm totally cool with it, but he's just so quiet and we don't really know eachother. I almost feel like I'm dating a stranger. Like I know stuff about him, but I don't know his mannerisms, or what his favorite meal is, or how he treats his brothers or cats or parents, ya know? I know all that stuff about Frank. It's just such a contrast. I duno I g2g. Ttyl.
Love,
Tess

That's weird about going out with Brian, but not knowing him. Do you know what sun-sign he is?

Well, Aunt Tessa is winding down. My uncle B. (Her husband, Brian (*LOL*), wrote to me and my family:

Dear all of you,
Tessa remains in-between this realm and whatever comes next... She is in her room, the one with all her clothes and her little desk. She has someone, one of her devoted friends, with her day and night, so I can sleep. I also sit with her often. On Sunday we had our music party, and also many of the 60 or so people in attendance had very short visits with Tessa. It was a gamble; but it seemed to work beautifully. Yesterday afternoon Tessa asked for no more visitiors, and said she just wanted a very few people to come to her room. She was very specific and clear about this, and we are honoring it. It is all so remarkable, and in its way very beautiful. Tessa is dozing a lot, she is on quite a lot of morphine, which works very well, and her life is simplified to little sips of water, and just lying in bed, with her room illumined by two little New England window candles. We moved the oxygen machine next door, so it is peaceful. She is often restless, often speaks, quite wonderful images and things who knows where they come from. This morning she suddenly broke into 'O Come All Ye Faithful' while Juna [A freind of the family's] and I were there with her, so we joined in.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas
much love from
b

*Sniffle.* God, I'll miss her like hell.
Love ya
Chris

Ummm I don't know the sign off hand but his birthday is March 10th - I'm a Leo...who knows if we're compatable??? He's actually older than me! I usually end up going out with people younger. He'll be 16 this March - I have till August :-) My Dad says I'm not allowed to get in the car with him until he's 18 hehe, but I think he's only joking.
Wow, that must be really rough on everyone about your aunt. I'm still praying for her. She sounds like a wonderful lady! I can imagine how you'd be missing her all ready. It's good that she's so peaceful though. I can understand that she'd want to be at home in familar surroundings with those she loves rather than in a hospital with all the wires, needles, and noise. Hopefully you all had a wonderful Christmas.
Praying for a miracle.
Love,
Tess

She died the night after Christmas, at 12:05. I'm still kinda in shock. Uncle Brian seems to be doing okay. When my dad (his brother) called him back, he was able to laugh about things. (My dad is good at cheering people up.) I pray for his life continuing with peace and joy.

March tenth--that's Pisces. The same as George Harrison! *LOL* I had a great Christmas. Together, Kestrel and I got ELEVEN new Neil Young CDs! We're both in heaven. We hadn't heard any of them before--oh, except for Sleeps With Angels. It's an amazing album. There's this one song called "Change Your Mind" which is 14 minutes long! It's about someone REALLY hooked on some drug--probably heroin, it's the most addictive--and the singer is trying to make them 'change their mind'. The first verse and chorus go:
When you get weak
And you need to test your will
Life's complete
But there's somethin' missin' still
Distracting you from this
Must be the one you love
Must be the one who's magic touch
Can change your mind
Don't let another day go by
Without the magic touch

Distracting you (Change your mind)
Supporting you (Change your mind)
Embracing you (Change your mind)
Convincing you (Change your mind)

Wow. He's just incredible.
Love, Chris

She's ok. She turned right at a red light without stopping first. A van hit her and she needed 3 staples in her head. She totalled her car and now that she doesn't have a way of transportation she has to quit her job, but thats all actually considered good news when you think about how much worse it could have been. Especially with her condition. Anyway, I'm terribly sorry about your aunt. We've recieved bad news in our house hold having our enemy be cancer as well. My mums cousin, who also was her room mate in college and a bridesmaid at my parents wedding is dying of cancer. Her name is Diane. She's 44 and the cancer is completely spread throughout her body - even in her lungs. They've given her the most powerful dose of chemo out there - so strong that she can only go through it once without having it kill her. Even with this chemo they only give her a 5-15% chance of surviving the cancer. That news is sad enough in its self, but she also has a severely handicapped son whose 16 or 17 and in a wheel chair. He'll be dependant on others for life. She also has a son in 5th grade. It's good that your uncle Brian is handling it so well. I'm sure it helps to know he has his brother and family right there for him through this all.
Haha, so is George a Picses or is his birthday march 10th too? Wow, I'm shocked that someone around my age knows their beatle trivia better than I do! Well now I have to get you on something.... ok, what's the beatles longest recorded song and how long is it?
Ahhh I g2g to moniques i'll talk to you later. That songs sounds awesome by the way. I have more to tell you but it'll have to wait!
Love Always,
Theresa

...cousin twice removed, or whatever she is! My Mom's cousin, an intelligent but very depressed woman, hanged herself on New Year's day in the barn. She left no note.

Hmm, I dunno when George's birthday is, but he's a Pisces.

OMG, that's DREADFUL about your sister...she sure seems to have bad luck. Gurg. Bad time of year.

I had the BEST RIDING LESSON IN THE UNIVERSE today! OMG, I died, I really did! I got to trot over cross-rails it was SO EXCITING! The first step to jumping, I'm just so dying with excitement. One time, after I went over the first cross-rail, Stinker got excited and started cantering! And she just about JUMPED the second one! YAHOOOO!

And what's more, Mary Kay (my instructor) was in a really good mood cause she's a grandmother! (She's 59, I think.) Her first grandchild, a girl, was born last night. I'm so happy for her.

Anyway, cya later, lotsa hugz,
Chris oxo
