I agree with your post except for the part about Meg. When I spoke with her after the finals, I got the distinct impression that she would definitely come back. She was most gracious and when I told her of my support and disbelief she did not make top five, she assured me that it was just that set of judges, and that on any other night, even THEY might like her. (Which is laughable to me, as it was more than obvious the judges had a clear agenda.)
