Subject: A JUDGES POWER

One judge can make a significant impact on the outcome of a pageant. Thinking back, things are really starting to make sense with the finals of SC USA. I never understood how Ericka (and honestly, even Amanda- who was a big turnoff, although gorgeous) made top five, yet Jennifer, Meg, or Lindsay did not. It didn't make sense that Amanda K would finish so low, when she was BY FAR the most solid performer...and that is the person who usually wins the title. I left saying I would never go back because I had certainly "lost my touch" with reviewing.

After reading all of the negative responses concerning the pageant and how people thought (even ahead of time) that the pageant was fixed for Amanda, I began to feel sorry for her and started defending her win. Above everything, I have always believed Mrs. Miles was a fair and honest person. Although the outcome was not what I believed it should be, it was surely fair.

Today I am DISGUSTED. I now KNOW the gossipmongering trouble makers were RIGHT. They knew something I did not. The judging was possibly tainted by the panel members having a relationship with Amanda's coach AND director. It is POSSIBLE that scoring was done so to eliminate competitive delegates, thus the crazy top five placements.

NO, this is something that could never be proven, but in my heart it is true.

I am heartbroken for the many who have paid their fees, worked their behinds off to achieve their personal "best", and believed that they stood a chance at having their dream come true.

ONE JUDGE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Shame on you, Paula for allowing this.

I am ashamed to have been a part of this group and my days of blinding support are over.
