I agree with most of what you say ... however there is little chance of any of what you suggest, being acted upon.

There was, of course, a wonderful film in the making. "Three Sided Coin" aka, "Not Fade Away" had a screenplay part written by JI Allison. The producrs of the "Buddy Holly Story" movie frightened the makers, 20th Century Fox, into abandoning the project halfway through by claiming that they had exclusive rights to portray Buddy in a feature film. This was untrue ... but with MEH and the Holleys onside they had the upper hand. Pity, it was going to be a great film about the first tour.
