Not really a "strange" comment, but maybe a little too
brief.
Although completists certainly are fans, they often seem to lack judgement or a reasonably critical sense of what is
really worthwhile, and what may actually harm an artists legacy.
How else can you explain anyone wanting to own the Picks
overdubs?
I think that was the point DaveH was making.
Unfortunately, those bad overdubs and poor quality grey market reissues often fool first time fans, and leave them with a warped sense of the artists' talent and importance.
