 Each year I recall our friend with fondness.

I have difficulty describing his impact in a new and
revealing way as the years add up, but Randy, you have done so beautifully once again.

Mr. Griggs certainly is and always will be among my
most unforgettable influences.

The reverence for and nurturing of Buddy Holly's legacy
has diminished since Bill's passing, with the one massive exception of The Buddy Holly Hall for the performing arts.

I truly wish Mr. Griggs was here to see it.
