I enjoy this board and check in every day.

If I have a minor issue, it's that often, well thought out postings get zero response!

It seems to me that we will get from this board what we are willing to put in.

It's only logical that truly new information about our 50's heroes will be scarce, but that does not mean we should forget them.

Although such performers are rare, I appreciate a truly well done tribute act, but I can see through the mediocre ones like a knife through butter.

Tribute acts that go the extra mile to get things right at least give us a hint of what the real thing live may have been like, all those years ago. They can be an interesting change from only listening to the original recordings, or watching the few clips we have.

Perhaps we should think of this modest gathering of like minded folks as our oasis and accept it for what we can make of it. I would be saddened to see it go away.

...I am curious if anyone shares my optimism for the soon to be released Elvis movie. His legacy deserves a boost.
