Subject: For those of us who like to discuss ON topic issues: Scott Guber- acting principal?

I've had this plot bunny living in the back of my mind since last year that involves Steven being indisposed somehow and Scott becoming acting principal of Winslow. I'd always figured Steven would be felled with a heart attack or similar medical emergency, but while watching Steven become increasingly dissillusioned (and after seeing the preview for next week's episode last night), the thought has occurred to me that it is equally plausible that Steven would leave for a time of his own will. I don't know if anything is going to come of this particular job application, but if you'll allow me to throw out a prediction, I think we may indeed have Scott step in as acting principal for awhile, if not this year, than next year. And I think that will be incredibly interesting. One thing that has been noteworthy about Scott's character arc this year is the gradual relaxation of his confrontational, authoritarian tendencies coupled with demonstrations of his dedication and extremely admirable integrity. I would love to see Scott rise to the challenge of temporarily taking Steven's place while Steven grapples with his own disatisfaction. What do you guys think?

And on a marginally related note, whatever it is they are doing with Scott's wardrobe or his makeup they need to keep doing, because he was SUPER HOT last night, especially in that final scene with Steven. The glasses especially were making me swoon. ;) Yes, I know, I'm weird. ;)

Steph
