Hi Wakener, I went back and looked at Lauren's first post:

This was not simply expressing an opinion. And while I do think everyone has a right to their opinion and to express that opinion, this was a bit more than just an expression. Personally, I didn't care so much about this, but when Lauren started to use more aggressive language, I decided to jump in because I didn't think that kind of response was reasonable to the situation. And her use of "Newspeak" as you call it (I'm not personally familiar with the term), made her sound really stupid. I couldn't resist.

Yes we got defensive. But it was not because Lauren doesn't like Guber. It was the offensive way she chose to present her viewpoint. Did we overreact? Possibly. Probably. But I think it's still true that this kid needs a lesson in diplomacy.
