People can't help but to get all excited at even a hint of news that Steve Perry is working on anything at all to do with music. Whether it be cowriting a song or singing background vocals. People just DESPERATELY want him back. If there's even a glimmer of hope, the word spreads like fire over the internet.

I hope with all my heart that the rumor is true. Moyes has said before that his impression of Steve was that he was a dedicated spontaneous sort of guy, and music was his life. I think that Moyes is a very honorable person and I believe what he says. I can't imagine Steve would have just given up on music all together. He must be working on something.
