Subject: Message from Moyes about Steve Perry

I was talking to Moyes today about the webpage and updating a few things on it and such and he had mentioned a few things about Steve Perry that he said were ok to share with everyone and to spread the word to other fans.

So below is the section of the email he sent to me about Steve and what we as fans can do if we want him to KNOW we want to hear HIM SOLO again (not just him with Journey).

It may work it may not but I know both my street talk and FTLOSM cds are a bit worn and have cracked cases so I plan to buy up new copies this weekend and send a few emails to local Chicago Radio Stations asking for SOLO Perry tunes (not Journey tunes) in my own little effort to show Steve we miss him here in Chicago!!!!

You Know..... A lot of people are asking when will Steve tour again, or If the tour will go back out again..............I want to tell them that if they want to see Steve again they should let him know that by requesting his solo work on the radio stations and requesting Love of Strange Medicine in the record stores. That is the only way.
I think Steve thinks that fans do not really want him, but just him in Journey. They need to show him that it is him they want by supporting his solo work. Can you imagine what would happened if fans went after the solo records, and demanded that that they be played and be available for sale in all the record stores?? Sony couldn't even kill that,(and Sony did kill the solo album because they never wanted it. They wanted Steve to go out and record with Journey, and they were willing to give up a couple million dollars just to get want they wanted. That's whay we are not touring now),and the fans will dictate what they get to hear and see.

This is the only way. Steve does not know that people love him, he only knows that he was in a band that was mega, and that people know him through that band. His Solo records do not do as well, and so he feels that there is not really love for him as a solo artist. The only way that can be turned around is by all these people demanding to hear and to be able to buy Steve Perry Band stuff You can circulate this E-mail to all the sites that are about Journey, and /or Steve, and let's see if the fans really get behind him. I will bet you cash money that you will see him tour if that happens. So here's to STREET TALK And FOR THE LOVE OF STRANGE MEDICINE!!!
