I saw this topic and couldn't resist sending a reply! I know exactly when I saw the FTLOSM TOUR. I live in Cincinnati and it was on October 28, 1994 at TAFT Theater. It was a chilly Friday evening. I'll never forget that day! I was sooo excited to see the VOICE and hear in person his magical gift to us all.

He was truly magnificent! From beginning to end! One of my favorite parts was when the "tails" came down and he was talking to them. I, along with the entire crowd, went BANANAS!! My poor husband was patient with me as I almost knocked him over! Well, that also happend during most, if not all, of the concert! LOL

My other favorite part was how Mr. Perry looked really surprised at our endless cheering. It was as if he was surprised that we remembered him and missed him! How he could ever be taken aback by this is beyond me! He is THE BEST singer EVER!!!!

My VERY FAVORITE part was after the concert. He and the band were waiting inside the back side of the building to get back on their bus. A few of us fans waited "PATIENTLY" to see them. Finally, after security people realized we weren't going away any time soon (NO WAY!!), they asked the crowd to split open and form an isle for Mr. Perry and his bandmates to get through to the bus waiting on the street next to us. We did. We all went NUTS when they finally emerged from the door. At first a few fans (young girls) tried to get to Mr. Perry's hair. He threw his hat to distract them. The rest of us yelled at the fans to knock it off and show some respect. Then I yelled "Thank you Steve!!" over and over as he got closer to me and went past me to get on the bus. After that a group then started to tell him thank you, too. I just wanted him to know I appreciate him and all of the time he has spent on the road to entertain/see his fans. It has to be hard to take away part of your life and be gone from home so much. I wanted to thank him for sharing his gift with us.

Once he got on the bus, he looked like he was actually very surprised at how many people waited around for him (it was about an hour or more after the concert had ended). He started honking the bus horn and we would all cheer. I love his sense of humor and how he teases the audience!

I have also had the pleasure of seeing the Raised On Radio Tour, back in 1986. I wanted to see the Frontiers concert, but was not able to attend. What a BUMMER!

Mr. Perry has such a magical voice! Listening to him gets me out of a bad/sad mood in a hurry! I truly love listening to him! I think I have one favorite song he performs and then I hear another and think "no, that's my favorite!". It's an endless circle of every song he has made. What a way to enjoy his albums! I hope he enjoys having some solitude for as long as he needs it! I just hope that maybe we'll have the privilege of being able to hear from him again.

Angie
