Subject: can we able to separate out NX model and drawing without breaking their associativity

Hi All,

I have to import the native NX data to the Teamcenter8. Native Nx data is having drawing with some reference part which is in drawing and may be or may not be in the model or assembly .can we able to separate out NX model and drawing without breaking their associativity.

I tried with the "File->Export->Part->drawing selection(say Sheet 1)->Specify Part (say exported_assembly).Click OK.
Opened Exported drawing(say exported_assembly).
before updating the sheet Child (reference part in the sheet ) view gets distorted.
After updating the drawing sheet.It is observed that child view gets replaced by whole assembly."

or How to achieve master model concept. Is it best practice to use master model concept in Teamcenter..

Please help someone unless company will kick me off

REgards,

LVI
